Marginal. An editorial character which marks textual restorations, variants, errors, omissions, corrections, quotations and marginal notes. Often the meaning of this character is not clear in extant texts. This character has two glyph variants: - and /.
Aristarchean editorial character
Marginal. Marks lines regarded as spurious. Also commonly used in combination with the Asteriskos (#13) to mark lines regarded as transposed.
